avco is one of the largest producers of Manufactured Housing, Park Model and Cabin Vaction Homes in the United States. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, Cavco has built a reputation for quality and value since it opened for business in 1965.

Cavco's factory-built homes are produced under various trade names and in a variety of floor plans and price ranges. We build our homes, park model homes, and vacation cabins to meet the building standards of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, (or HUD) or to the International (IRC) and Universal (UBC) Building Codes. Our homes generally range in size from about 500 to 3,300 square feet and typically include two to five bedrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen and two or more full bathrooms. Most of our homes are comprised of two or more modules that are joined together at the home site, but we also produce single-section homes. Our park model homes and campground cabins are less than 400 square feet in size and are purchased primarily as second homes, vacation homes or for retirement living. These homes are constructed to a code called ANSI 119.5, and are generally placed in planned communities or recreational and resort properties. We also produce commercial structures for a variety of purposes, including portable offices and showrooms.

We operate three manufacturing plants in the Phoenix area and one plant in Seguin, Texas. Our factories range in size from 79,000 to 203,000 square feet. We construct our homes using an assembly-line process where each module or floor is assembled in stages. Our production process is designed to be flexible enough to accommodate significant customization as requested by our customers.

Cavco supplies multiple brands from its manufacturing facilities to independent retailers and company-owned retail centers located in the Western U.S. , Canada and Japan. Cavco also customizes floor plans to the specifications and exclusive brand names of land/lease communities, subdivision developers, and large multi-location distributors.

Cavco employs approximately 1,000 people in its operations.
