Cavco’s “systems-built” homes are produced under three prominent brand names and in a variety of styles, floor plans and price ranges. We build homes to meet appropriate building standards such as those of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), International Residential Code (IRC), Uniform Building Code (UBC) and the ANSI 119.5 Building Code. Our homes generally range in size from about 500 to 3,300 square feet and typically include two to five bedrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen and two or more full bathrooms. Most of our homes are comprised of two or more modules that are joined together at the home site; however we also produce single-module homes. Our park model homes and campground cabins are less than 400 square feet in size and are purchased primarily as second homes, vacation homes or for seasonal retirement living. These homes are generally placed in planned communities or recreational and resort properties. We also produce commercial structures for a variety of purposes, such as portable offices, showrooms, and banking facilities.
Cavco Industries operates fifteen factories across the nation. Each factory builds under various brand names and product types. Our factories range in size from 79,000 to 280,000 square feet. We construct our homes using a building system where each module or floor section is assembled in stages under strict supervision. Our production process is designed to be flexible to accommodate significant customization as requested by the customer.
Cavco supplies homes from its manufacturing facilities to independent retailers and company-owned retail centers located in the most of the U.S., as well as in Canada, Mexico and Japan. Cavco also customizes styles and specifications to the exclusive brand names of land/lease communities, subdivision developers, and large multi-location distributors.
