Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Cavco Industries, Inc. is the largest producer of manufactured homes in Arizona and the 8th largest producer in the United States, based on 2006 total home production data published by Manufactured Home Merchandiser magazine. The Company is also a leading producer of park model homes and vacation cabins in the U.S.
Our factory-built homes are produced under various trade names and in a variety of floor plans and price ranges. We produce homes constructed to the building standards established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (or HUD) and to the International and Universal Building Codes. Our HUD code and modular homes generally range in size from approximately 500 to 3,300 square feet, and typically include two to five bedrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen and two or more full bathrooms. Most of these are homes built in two or more modules, although we also produce single-section homes. Our park model homes are less than 400 square feet in size and are purchased primarily for use as second homes, vacation homes or for retirement living. These homes are placed in planned communities, recreational home parks and resort properties. We also produce camping cabins and related structures for public and private campground operators throughout the country.
